Using Color in Your Resume
Ideas for making an attractive, eye-catching document
As a job seeker, you are a book being judged by its cover. Beyond choices in typeface, spacing, and layout, you can also utilize color in your resume to add a little something extra.
Not sure what color(s) to use? Microsoft Word offers a nice selection of theme colors in various shades that complement each other. You can also select your own custom color, but be sure to note the RGB so you can reference it later. Keep in mind — regardless of what color you choose, your resume must be inviting to read (don't use bright yellows or light greens that are hard on the eye).
