Claims Jobs in Washington, CA

A Claims Professional in the insurance industry is responsible for handling insurance claims filed by policyholders. Their role includes investigating the claim, determining the policyholder's coverage, negotiating settlements, and authorizing payments. They are often the main point of contact for clients during the claims process and will work closely with underwriters, brokers, and other insurance professionals. They may also provide recommendations for policy adjustments or present evidence in legal cases.

Claims Professionals should have excellent customer service skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Some positions may require professional certifications such as the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or Associate in Claims (AIC). Prior to becoming a Claims Professional, a person might serve in roles such as Insurance Underwriter, Insurance Sales Agent, or Claims Adjuster Trainee.
