DescriptionJob Summary:
Global Compliance & Ethics (GC&E) helps protect the enterprise through collaborative partnerships that provide expert, innovative, and flexible solutions across the globe. The GC&E Compliance Enablement team provides a proactive and strategic view of enterprise compliance risk to support this mission. The Sr. Business Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring effective management of compliance risk, including overseeing the Compliance Risk Assessment (CRA), driving alignment with other LM assurance functions (risk, audit, etc.), and delivering actionable compliance insights to help leaders manage risk effectively.
**This position may have in-office requirements depending on candidate location**
Typical Starting Salary is $160,000-$214,000. The compensation for this role is dependent on experience and geographical location of candidate.
Job Responsibilities:
The Sr. Business Compliance Officer is instrumental to our global compliance program as the leader of our Compliance Risk Coordination team. This team is comprised of experienced compliance professionals who oversee the execution of the CRA, strategic enhancements to the CRA, and collaboration and alignment with other assurance functions across the company. The CRC team manages critical relationships with compliance stakeholders in every part of our company, ensuring an effective enterprise approach to identifying, measuring, and managing compliance risk.
- Compliance Risk Assessment oversight:
- Establish program oversight, governance, and procedures
- Ensure CRA activities are properly stored in eGRC application for enterprise visibility, reporting, and documentation.
- Drive global engagement with the Compliance Risk Assessment process through education, awareness, and meaningful connections with stakeholders
- Create actionable insights based on CRA results to help local, regional, and enterprise compliance leaders identify risk trends and focus their attention on what matters most Ensure ongoing alignment of CRA process with US DOJ guidance, standards, and expectations
- Drive strategic improvements that enhance CRA effectiveness and accuracy, evolving to meet changing global compliance landscapes and organizational needs.
- eGRC Compliance Platform Coordination
- Oversee global use of eGRC platform to manage bodies of compliance work including complaints, data calls, regulatory engagements, issue management, etc.
- Partner with eGRC technology team to ensure global compliance needs continue to be met by the platform
- Implement a standardized approach to compliance issue management leveraging the global eGRC platform to drive consistency, visibility, and accountability for managing identified compliance issues.
- Cross-functional Assurance
- Coordinate global compliance activity with other LM assurance functions, including Global Internal Audit and enterprise risk management, to drive an aligned approach and to provide an integrated experience to the LM business
- Partner with Global Internal Audit to ensure proper identification and escalation of compliance related audit findings, manage and oversee remediation, and integrate audit activity into compliance reporting capabilities.
- Partner with enterprise risk management teams at both the enterprise and BU level to ensure CRA alignment with established approach to managing all operational risk, including risk and control self-assessment process.
- Reporting
- In coordination with the Compliance Enablement business & insights pillar, integrate CRA data and associated strategic compliance risk insights into various reporting channels, including compliance scorecards, strategic business unit reporting, and BOD and Risk Committee presentations.
- Bachelor's degree and 10-15 years leading compliance activities
- JD or advanced degree preferred
- Extensive practical understanding of legal, regulatory and compliance requirements, supplemented by involvement in relevant industry compliance activities
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated track record in implementing/maintaining compliance program functions, or associated policies and procedures, that meet legal, as well as business, requirements
