The Division of Cannabis Control oversees the Medical Marijuana Control Program Patient & Caregiver Registry, and licenses and regulates medical marijuana cultivators, processors, dispensaries, and testing laboratories. The Division is also in the process of standing up the non-medical cannabis program in Ohio following voter approval of an initiated statute to legalize the possession and use of cannabis by individuals age 21 and over.

Job Duties
What You'll Do:
The selected candidate will provide the operational support to the Division of Cannabis Control by performing the following duties which include, but are not limited to:
Supervises Licensing Team involved in the processing of licensing applications including employee badging, packaging & labeling, strain name requests, advertising, and other change requests;
Establishes Licensing Section policies & procedures resulting from analysis of statutory rule changes;
Develops and implements procedures to improve operational efficiency of the Licensing Section;
Monitors daily work and provides direction and technical assistance to staff;
Conducts staff and Advertising meetings;
Transmits information concerning operations;
Trains staff in licensing processes/activities;
Assigns & reviews work;
Prepares & maintains reports concerning licensing Section activities & related program reports;
Assists and communicates with higher-level manager with Division activities;
Oversees reconciliation of payments or examines & verifies account transactions for approval.

Qualifications
Completion of undergraduate core coursework in accounting; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques; 18 mos. exp. in accounting or in other fiscal/financial activity with exp. to be commensurate with duties to be assigned.
-Or undergraduate core coursework in business administration, economics or computer science; 16 semester or 24 quarter hours in accounting; 18 mos. exp. in position involving accounting, billings, collections, payments or reimbursements with exp. commensurate with duties to be assigned; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques.
-Or 6 mos. as Accountant/Examiner 4, 66114 with state government exp. commensurate with duties to be assigned.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
