iHire is the ultimate tool for attracting qualified candidates to the Independent Claims business. My experience has been that the sharpest and most qualified applications are often from candidates who prefer using the internet to dealing with the typical headhunter, who may sometimes use high pressure tactics on both the applicant and the prospective employer. The decision is easier for a small business owner faced with the fee typically charged by a professional placement service, 25% of the first year's salary. While we have had some success using the better employment agencies, the offer of a 90-day guarantee does little for an independent adjusting company, as we are often unable to discover problems with work habits for six months to a year of service due to the extended training time required in our business.
